Usually, I think every task through to its completion and beyond.
It’s the PR and events person in me; I’m always a few steps ahead with multiple scenarios envisaged and planned for.
Usually.
This week I decided on the spur of the moment to do a competition on Facebook and give away a voucher to spend, so I asked what the most searched for brand on my website would be. The first person to answer would win a $50 voucher, I declared proudly.
I posted it and approximately 20 seconds later, the lovely Bronwyn responded with FRANKiE4 and she was right.
Competition over!
Seriously?! I then saw the error of my ways and quickly asked what the second and third most popular brands people search for were.
And my beautiful followers quickly guessed correctly: Rollie and Diana Ferrari respectively.
What I should have done, of course, and what I confessed in the post afterwards, was give everyone the opportunity to guess and do a random draw the following day of all the correct answers.
It seems so obvious in hindsight!
Ah well, my motto has always been that if you stuff up, you confess it, have a laugh and never do it again!
Until next time, Carol & CCx
