Now that’s what you should feel when you slip on a pair of new shoes!
For many of my customers, it’s a new experience, having squeezed their long feet into shoes that were much too small for too many years. The realisation of what shoes should feel like when they’re actually the right size is overwhelming for some. There have been tears of joy!
On top of sizing issues restricting comfort, there’s a common misconception that stylish, gorgeous shoes cannot be comfortable.
They most certainly can be and most certainly should be!
Anything by podiatrist-designed FRANKiE4 will mean you have happy feet all day and night. As I type this, I’m wearing one of their boots (literally, as I still have my moon on the other foot for another few days!!) and they’re supremely comfortable, plus look fantastic. This dynamic brand even has a 9cm heeled boot coming next month, which I also have my eye on.
Naturalizer is also big on comfort with heaps of cushioning, especially under the ball of the foot. Their range has become more and more stylish each season and my orders with them keep growing as a result.
I brought back the “Sierra” shoe by Zeta after a few years because everyone who bought them raved about their comfort. Indeed, just this morning the lovely Kerri came back in for her second pair. Some customers have three or four pairs, which is always a good sign.
Another consistent winner is any flat by Django and Juliette! I stock a variety of these all year round. With their rubber sole and elastic sides, these ballet flats are super cute and super comfy.
Even J.Renee, a brand that specialises in making women feel fabulous, has received rave reviews about the comfort of their higher heeled creations … shoes that look like they would be uncomfortable and but are actually remarkably comfortable when you wear them.
So it’s a big “yes” to style AND comfort. We deserve nothing less!
Until next time
