Whoosh … that’s the sound of a new boot leaving The Shoe Garden at record speed!
I’ve never nearly sold out of a boot (or shoe for that matter) in just a few hours. Such is the power of Facebook and Instagram and, of course, such is the power of a beautiful boot!
I’m particularly chuffed as no one else in the country will have the “Banyan” boot by Isabella in a floral stretch pattern.
When I saw the Isabella range last year for this Autumn/Winter season, they had the floral pattern only available for the ankle boot. That looked a bit busy to me, so I asked if I could have the material for the longer boot and the answer was yes.
Happy days!
I’m in the middle of selecting my Spring/Summer season for later this year at the moment, so a win like this with one of my choices is very inspiring.
It’s hard to put yourself out of the equation when buying stock and put your customers firmly in the number one spot.
I often say, if everyone had my taste this would be really easy. But I’m lucky that I do know my customers and am getting better each season in finding them what they need and like and often love!
And sometimes, by happy coincidence, what I like is popular, too. I say this smiling as I’m wearing these boots as I type this … nearly passing out from heat exhaustion, mind you, but very, very happy!
